Our Mission
Aren’t all churches the same? No, they aren’t. Every church has unique values and personality that shape its identity and chart its course into the future. God isn’t finished with Parkside yet, but we have a God-given mission to…

Lead people into a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

That mission is the driving force of everything we do. Each word is significant and defines the irresistible church we want to become.

… Leading
We must be proactive, becoming leaders who influence our culture and have a lasting impact upon our generation. If we ever hold back or hesitate, we are putting the eternal destiny of countless people around us at risk. Jesus presented God’s timeless truth in fresh, relevant ways without apology. He ministered with a sense of urgency and passion. We should too.

- Matthew 24:42-44

…People
Every person matters to us because they matter to God. We want to create environ-ments where people can experience God,yet feel comfortable being themselves. The church must be pulsating with energy – alive, contemporary, growing, diverse, inviting, genuine, refreshing – because we are vitally connected to God. The realization that some are missing out on that connection spurs us to be purposeful, intentional, determined and bold. There is no limit to what we will do or how far we will go to reach people who are far from God.

Matthew 28:16-20, Mark 1:17, Matthew 9:37-38, Acts 2:42-47, 2 Corinthians 2:15-17

…Life Changing
If your experience at Parkside doesn’t make a difference in who you are or how you live… what’s the point? We offer hope that any life can change. The church is a shelter where displaced people can belong, hurting people can heal, and lost people can find God. Because life change happens best in community, we help people connect with one another. Despite our obvious diversity, it is better when we do life together. But only Jesus can bring about the radical transformation each of us need. People should notice a difference and want what they see in us.

Romans 5:5, Romans 8:24-25

…Relationship
We don’t promote a “religion,” but rather a personal, saving relationship with the God of the Universe. Coming to know Him is not an event, but a life-long process. Prayer is our lifeline.

Galatians 3:26-29, Ephesians 3:14-19, 2 Peter 1:5-11

…Jesus Christ
We are followers of Jesus, not any other person, group or philosophy. Because of that, we will reflect His character and values in everything we do. Worship is a lifestyle. We expect every believer to be a fully-devoted follower of Jesus. He is the way, the truth and our life!
